Aurega 2 Drainable
The Aurega 2 Drainable is a two-piece ostomy bag available in 3 sizes depending on the corresponding baseplate ring size: 50 mm, 60 mm and 80 mm. Thanks to the integrated material Velcro closure, the bag can be easily emptied which provide more flexibility and extended use. The Aurega 2 Drainable is available in both transparent and beige non-woven backing variants. The bag is equiped with a longitudinal active carbon filter which prevents the bag from balooning. Connection of the Aurega 2 bag to its corresponding two-piece baseplate is extremely safe and easy thanks to the simple locking ring coupling system. The bag is intended to be used with different types of stoma depending on the place of its emergence: small intestine (ileostomy or jejunostomy), large intestine (colostomy) or esophagus (salivary gland fistula).
Velcro fastening
The Aurega 2 Drainable ostomy bag series is equipped with an integrated Velcro fastener, making the opening and closing of the bag extremely quick and easy. Closing the bag takes place by folding its outlet 3 times towards the body and joining the rolled up tip having a hook-and-loop cap with the material overlap fastened to the bag’s foil. Opening the bag is an even simpler task – just disconnect the material layer from the Velcro tip, and then unfold the previously rolled-up bag outlet.
At the base of the tip of the bag, there is a special overlap, grasping it greatly facilitates expanding the outlet and emptying the contents of the bag without the risk of soiling your hands.
Viewing window
All Aurega bags made of a double-sided non-woven material have a viewing window located on the outer side of the bag. The window allows easy monitoring of the stoma as well as the amount and state of the intestinal content. The viewing window in the Aurega bags is also helpful when attaching the bag, making it easier to precisely match the hole in the flange to the stoma on the body.
Outer non-woven backing
We only use specially selected soft and light non-woven fabrics in the production of Aurega bags. It is remarkably skin-friendly in direct contact with its surface and does not cause strong friction with the clothing. The beige colour of the material has been chosen from many shades to ensure the optimal level of discretion by matching the natural skin colour of the user. In the case of beige bags with a viewing window, the double-sided, non-woven layer reduces the rustling of the film in the course of bag usage.
The fabric we use to produce Aurega bags is waterproof and offers high breathability, which prevents the formation of sweat on the skin at the place where the bag comes into contact with its surface. The hydrophobic properties of the non-woven material allow the bag to dry quickly after bathing or showering.
Filter
Aurega 2 Drainable ostomy bags are equipped with an active carbon filter, used to vent gases accumulating inside the bag. As the gas is released, it is deprived of unpleasant odour, which is retained by the active carbon present in the filter.
The longitudinal design of the filter in Aurega 2 Drainable ostomy bags translates into an extended odour neutralisation area, allowing for precise filtration of the gases passing through it. Thanks to the high efficiency of the air flow, the filter prevents the bag from ballooning.
Aurega bags are equipped with internal protective layers in the upper part of the bag that effectively protect the filter against leakage.
